Futures are numerous like the stars. It is on us to decide which future we set our course to. Only if we define a common goal and future, efforts, commitments, agreements and spendings will be effective. Only then will we arrive at a future desirable for all. Today, there is no such goal defined. The Agenda21 document does not define it. The Earth Charter is moving in the right direction. The decision on the course to a common future cannot be left to a tiny minority of invisible individuals come to power in a disfunctional democracy. It is on each individual human being to make this decision, and use it as a lifelong Guiding Star for decision-making, action and lifestyle. The Heart Compass and holistic wisdom have proven to be the best navigation instruments for a future desirable to all lifeforms. Ideally, networking and communication will nurture collective agreements to different levels, - global, national, regional, individual. Data and strategies will follow as aides and tools for making the journey. This section will present Future Scenarios and Utopias. |
