Future Fleet Mainstream urban-industrial societies are falling apart, wrecked and sinking. Which society model will carry us towards a sustainable future? This section features innovative communities travelling pathways of future lifestyles following the course of holistic eco-social functionality. The tribal model of the Children of Nature works perfectly, but the Children of Technology need different solutions that are still to be realized. Mental models for such societies do exist, and for decades, creative pioneers have been experimenting on realizing them. These examples offer inspiration for our greatest needs, namely "creative, different thinking" and "experience of potential alternatives". They teach us a new society is not created by refusing current civilization, but by building on its most useful achievements, while discarding disfunctional aspects, integrating knowledge from other cultures and inventing new elements. As our "Great Explorers" of the past have taught us, innovators by definition do not fit the "conventional image", - so we shall not expect Future-Fleet Crews to fit into the current norm image of unsustainable citizens! Some of these models work for a special kind of people or a period of time, others will fade away, sink, even be destroyed, make a fun story or prove to be indeed a puzzle piece of the future. This section will feature some of humankind's finest explorers, some of which may already enjoy the shores of Continent Future. Time - or your instinct - will tell...
