To get an effective grip on the complexity of our globalized world, we need to integrate and integrate new signs, symbols and models. Scientists are searching for new models of communication to illustrate our complex world and enable understanding and communication across language and culture barriers... Youth have shown to be much more talented in this! We have designed exciting and creative lesson plans that help to teach Cultures, Futures, Globalism and Sustainability better than any text or film. They combine research, communication, arts and media in an intense group process. Future Scenarios, World House, CultureSculpture and World Youth Culture Exhibition are exciting projects for school and youth clubs. The collective result of such work will be a Sculpture of Meaning - offering much more than can be seen on the artistic surface and effectively teaching the spectator on the world we live in. Exhibiting and exploring Sculptures from around the world in the WFS Garden enables us to look through different cultural eyes and minds, - an indispensable competence for global collaboration in creating a just, peaceful and beautiful future. "There are seen and unseen aspects of culture and society, of globalisation and of life in the biosphere. It is the unseen aspects that create and influence the seen ones. Let us discover the complexity of our world, make it visible and tangible by using the imaginative capacities of our minds." |
