Agora*: Meeting-place (greek). In ancient Greece, citizens met in the public Agora to decide on the future course of society.
Sustainability Movement**: The collective of youth and civil society organisations, groups and individuals striving towards advancing societies towards sustainability in the spirit of the Earth Charter.
Netizenship***: Expanding citizens' democratic activities to the internet through meaningful use of online media for information, decision-making and organisation processes with practical effect on real life. It is no exaggeration to consider this as the nervous system of the growing worldwide civil society movement. The internet makes immediate global communication affordable and offers access to fundamental information practically inaccessible through print media. It is indispensable for self-qualification as a Fair Global Citizen. Right now, you are strolling through an unfolding Netizenship Agora that is to involve schools and introduce and integrate youth into the global communication process towards sustainability.
